Have you seen the interviews with the Skylines staff and the other vids regarding it’s features and development? It looks so well thought out, so well researched, dare I say it, ‘finished’! Thank god  Urban Games didn’t have anything to do with it, they would have released it before Christmas and it would have been terrible!

True, I noticed that this evening. If I had a single track that split into a double platform that doubled as a passing loop, it would sort itself out before but tonight, I found a huge queue because a train refused to leave the station that didn’t have a signal! They must have changed something in the patch, I cant believe the USA part would have anything to do with it.

HERE, HERE! Well said that man!

I think this is what annoys me more as well, the fact that Urban Games have done nothing but give out a ‘we don’t give a shit about you or the game’ attitude. The bloody stupid thing is that they HAVE got a great game here, which is why many of us persevere with it, yet EVERYTHING they do is half hearted and bodged. I can’t wait until MArch 10th when Skylines comes out, Paradox know what theyre doing and if they DO make a mistake, you can be sure they will have the balls to admit it, not like these idiots.

Ahhhh, you extract the contents to the mods folder, got it! Thanks for that. What about TFMM, is that to be avoided now or can we use that as well? Personaly, I find it easier to download a ZIP, then use TFMM, why UG seems to think that having to manually unzip each one first, then adding it is easier, is beyond me.

This is all very odd, I do indeed have the 1.6.1 version and have both the ziped and extracted folders in the mods folder in the TF root directory.

Have now changed it to just this….

Is this right? If so, nothing is showing in the game mod select boxes still.

Ah I see, how about passing loops and signals, plenty of them?

Youre refering to the Mikado engine? See this thread – http://www.train-fever.com/forums/topic/2-8-2-mikado-end-year-wrong/ I posted a fix there.

As for the ‘no path’ error, nothing about the DLC will affect this, it’s all the same game. The fault obviously is that there is a tiny section of track, probably one sleeper in length, that has no power. The only cure is to search every foot of it. Look for elec’ poles that are very close together and try to follow thew overhead wires and look for gaps.

I tried that with the Stadler Flirt but in the game the mod boxes are empty. Is there no official guide from the devs about this? Surely such a major change has SOME kind of documentation or readme file?

Yes, i’ve kind of got my head around that but what about mods like your excellent FLIRT that have been converted, what do I do with it? Do I install it with TFMM or put it in the mods folder manually or what?

Yes, running your wild west style General loco into the dusty goldrush town of Chipping Norton does kind of ruin the imersion! Sure, the gameplay is the same but the change of scenery is welcome, to me at least. I found the default BRIGHT GREEN everywhere a bit hard to take and prefer the more washed out look.

It’s basically the same as everything else Urban Games have done in TF, half finished. You really do get the impression they all sat there and said “oh that’ll do, it’s free anyway…”

Nevertheless, I welcome the added rolling stock, I already had the ‘BigBoy’ and loved it and in future games, i’ll be happy to mix the two groups as i’m not really after a simulator, just a fun trainset really.

It will keep me busy until March 10th though, I have Skylines on preorder! 🙂

Apparently, we’re all ‘cheaters’, that’s why Urban Games gave us the ‘main connection’ feature! :p

Great, for NO apparent reason, NOTHING has worked. Even after a re-install the game still crashes as soon as I try to buldoze a station. I’ve just played right upto 1961, building up a nice little network and now I’ve got to scrap the f**king lot and start again!

Any help from an Urban Games member? Anything at all? Nope, sweet FA as usual, thanks….
