Yet ANOTHER example of how amateurish the developers are, way to go Urban Games!
simonmdParticipantI keep seeing people ask for subways but what on earth for? Even the biggest ‘city’ ive seen so far after 150 years of gameplay is little more than a town in the real world, there just isn’t the scale to warrent a subway. Trams are logical, they have been around since the dawn of public transport, so not including them would have been stupid however ‘light rail’ is only a concept that has existed since the end of the 20th century. All we need is a fix to the buslanes, they should be for public transport ONLY and nothing else, that would solve the issues above and make other things like ‘light rail’ possible.

simonmdParticipantA simple solution would be to add something that we’ve been asking for since it came out, simply being able to build with double tracks as well as singles, this would have stopped your problem from ever hapening. However, I think it was a bit rash to buldoze a 3m tunnel and risk the same thing happening again, I would have split the line and built another single.
simonmdParticipantNo argument here, I too have tried a buslane only road to use trams as a ‘light rail’ system, only to find cars on them! It’s another stupid bug that shows UG haven’t tested a thing and highlights how amateur this game’s developers are.

March 2, 2015 at 23:26 in reply to: I really hope dev focus shifts to map generation options… #17493simonmdParticipantMate, you really need to get out more………..
simonmdParticipantSo this works for just the USA DLC part of the game? Why couldn’t Urban Games have done this? Nice mod!
simonmdParticipantWell, that’s NOT what a signal does in real life and it’s NOT what it’s for. A Signals job is to tell you if the track ahead to the next signal is clear, nothing else. If you want better spacing, space out your signals better!
simonmdParticipantHmm, I think i’ll wait until there is a new TFMM then. So far, there are only two main mods I want to use, thats the signal pack and the depot pack. I can live without extra stock until then. The main rolling stock items I like to download are modern like Olahaldor’s superb FLIRT model mentioned here before but as i’m back in the 1800’s again due to a game crash, it’ll be a while before I can use it!

simonmdParticipantWell, I can confoirm that ‘some’ work, I got the one with 10 trains or more on one line the other day with the USA pack.
simonmdParticipantNot sure why youre asking in this context. Avenues still have junctions where your trams can get stuck and you said that 4 lane roads with buslanes seem to work, why not use them?
simonmdParticipantI have CIM2 and see nothing wrong with it, it plays well, looks great and is great fun and very satisfying. I have heard they had issues at the start but Paradox have gone on record to say they KNOW they screwed up and that they have learnt lessons from it which have been applied to Skylines.
Once, just ONCE i’d like to see Urban Games admit they got something wrong but it’s all denial, silence or “will be fixed in next patch…” which it never is…..
simonmdParticipantMost of you all are forgetting, you got a free DLC, for free. Be grateful they didn’t charge you. Also, relax. Its not even be a full 72hrs, and its now just Monday. Patches are sure to come to fix things, and make people happy with the new DLC.
Yes, I did in fact make point of this in my original post and it’s certainly true to say i’d rather have the pack than not. However, you’re missing the point, most of us are just fed up with how half hearted Urban Games do things. Answer me this, WHY NOT TEST THE THING and show a bit of PRIDE in your work? I know that if I was on the UG team, i’d be VERY embarresed. Also, to say something like ” Patches are sure to come to fix things….” is just playing to their lazyness. Patches USED to be for games that needed one or two bugs fixed or to make it compatible with some kind of new hard/software. Now, we seem to be lead to believe that a patch every bloody month is fine and acceptable and that at any point, a patch can totaly screw up things like mods and other downloads that many people, users and developers, have spent a great deal of time to put together. This is not accepable for a suposedly finished game, this is what happenes when something is in development and being Beta tested.
As for comparing it to Skylines, don’t be foolish. I see no evidence of that at all. ALL that was mentioned was that it was coming out soon and a few of us are excited about it. It’s a game made by a professional developer that has undergone a great deal of testing, unlike this amateur bunch, they have even said that they learnt alot from the CIM2 release and this is why Skylines has taken longer than they had hoped. To compare the two is insulting Paradox Games.
@Olahaldor. Yes, there unfortunately is alot of anger here, why? Because people CARE about the game and that’s not a bad thing. If I didn’t enjoy TF and care about it’s development, i’ve had said “meh” a long time ago and gone on to something else.simonmdParticipantYes, signals at the end of stations now. Why? God knows.
