    Well, Multiplayer is such a standard thing nowadays, I think it would ruin the reputation of a developer to take money for multiplayer (MMO’s excluded, since they have huge maintenance costs servers, GM’s and so on).
    So imho even a single time payment isn’t good.
    DLC’s for scenarios, new map generator features, new vehicles and so on, np with that, but not the multiplayer.

    I see it like rusty, just as he and I earlier said, make it optional as DLC and/or option to have Planes and Ships.

    If you don’t like Ships or Planes, just don’t use it and you’re good to go, no need to spread hate vs planes and ships all the time.

    My post is related to the ones of LocoMH and Neihgborkid but you didn’t get my point.
    You pay for MMO’s mainly for the server infrastructure, because thousands of players play on one server and for Game Masters and so on.
    But nothing like this is needed in a MP for a tycoon simulation.
    So making the players pay for a MP in Train Fever would be a horrible idea, since this would just look greedy and would deter the community.

    It sounds to me like a subscription model what you’re suggesting but maybe I missunderstand you so please clarify what you mean.

    I only heard about cross switches to come.
    3 of 1 Switches, this would be really nice to come and I guess, it will come, since the devs are listening to their players.
    I remember, initially, there shouldn’t be freight transport in this game but the people asked for it and they added it.
    So why shouldn’t this happen to other wishes?

    As far as I know, OpenTTD and Simutrans MP are both free.
    So, if the devs, like you suggested, would provide a MP for which you have to pay, they also would make little to no money.
    If they add MP, then for free or not at all, so modders do the job.
    This is not an MMO after all.

    1) Yet in Beta, there seem to be the singals, who build blocks, dunno how they’re called right now, the only ones, a classic variant from the steam era and a modern one with 2 aspects.

    2) I think both, they’ll deliver such basic things like multiplayer, if they add multiplayer, for free and things like new trains, maps etc. as payable DLC.

    3) It really is only a maybe, nothing definite planned.

    4) 1 Ingame Day = 3 Reallife-Seconds (On normal gamespeed |> so, one Ingame year = 18 Minutes 15 Seconds RL-Time)

    5) Dunno, I’m not a beta tester, trust stonelouse’s answer

    6) Dunno, but I guess yes, since the devs create the game as modfriendly as possible, there are alrdy mods now in Closed Beta.

    Das spielt wird ja nicht verkauft, bevor es fertig ist, es ist kein Early Access Titel.
    Die Videos etc. kommen von Testern der CLOSED BETA.
    Ich habe es noch nie erlebt, dass es Demoversionen von einem Spiel vor Release des selbigen gab.
    Von daher warte, bis irgendwann die Demo nachm Release kommt, wenn dir das so extrem wichtig ist.
    Ob man genügend aus Let’s Plays ziehen kann, um zu sagen, ob das Spiel einem gefällt oder nicht, unterscheidet sich letztendlich von Person zu Person.
    Ich und viele andere können das, wenn du das nicht kannst, ist das nicht schlimm.

    Als schlechten Simulator würde ich das Spiel nicht bezeichnen, ich weiß, dass Genre wurde in den letzten Jahren von vielen schlechten Vertretern geplagt, aber anhand dessen, was ich sehen kann auf YouTube und dem restlichen Gesamteindruck denke ich nicht, dass dies ein schlechter Simulator ist oder wird, darauf lassen auch nicht die Berichte der Betatester schließen.

    I think in the history of the gaming industry, there was never a demo available before release.
    So look the Lets Plays on YouTube from the beta testers, it’s nearly as good.

    I think thats a bit harsh criteria, let the train wait a few seconds or build a multiplatform station, so multiple trains can drive in.
    And I think, it stands on the todo-list, a 5-Men-Devteam builded this beautiful and really good game, to say “I don’t buy it because trains can’t chose different platforms yet” is like to say “I don’t buy that pizza because it lacks one of those many salami pieces on it”.
    To make it short: You would regret it, if you don’t buy it since you would miss one of the first very good games in this genre since the RT3.
    In Germany we got a saying: “Good things take their time” and this is especially true here. I’m sure, they’ll add some of the little features like this one here, that people are missing, maybe even before release for the beta testers to test, only devs can tell.

    Berry, if this would be a valid reason for Urban Games, they would’ve never lifted NDA, since you can clearly see in videos, that for example there are still little performance flaws and signals not turning red when a train has to wait etc.
    So since they lifted the NDA, they could post Patch Notes here.

    Dude, this isn’t CoD Advanced Warfare or BF4.
    It would be a miracle, if your rig wouldn’t be able to put Train Fever on the best graphics settings ^^

    Good to hear this, although it should only be done by trains in case, if their standard platform is blocked.
    I don’t know about other countries but in Germany, trains are always assigned to the same platform, except there is something preventing this e.G. other train standing in it.

    Morat, to be honest, you seem a bit arrogant to me because of your demands.
    This is a game in beta developed by a little 5 Men-Team. This is not a fucking EA Games-Title.
    So have a little understanding for their hard work and they did hell of a good job considering they’re only 5 Men.
    I think they’ll be able to fix most of the performance issues until release, if not all of them.
    So have trust in them and if you really like tycoon games, support this first good game since years, eventually they will fix all performance issues, either until release or a little afterwards but those issues aren’t that strong, that you shouldn’t buy the game.

    And as said, you have to think off Fraps and other Moviecapturing software.
    Depending on the hardware of the youtuber, it takes more or less performance and to be honest, most of the active YouTubers here are pretty new on YouTube and young, probably they don’t have good PC’s so Fraps also takes its fair share of Performance.

    I don’t think, that this is a good idea, it is pretty unrealistic.
    Railway companies don’t research locomotives by themselves, other companies are doing that or, in the early days some few men did that.

    And to link it to transported goods and so on… maybe in some kind of a campaign mission but not throughout the whole game.

    I’m against this suggestion.

    I guess, it will come, 64 bit is the future after all, someday 128bit will come, you don’t want to stick around with 32bit Games, OSs’ and so on by then 😛
