Yes I know you weren’t asking to be able to drive trains, but to improve the way the trains perform at their destinations. Whether or not it will be possible to do what you ask, regarding multiple sidings and shunting of wagons etc in to assembled consists, I’m not sure. I suppose it depends whether the game has been designed for this to happen later on as it develops. But I agree, a closed loop might be possible to try out by one of the beta tester’s to see if it is possible.
GeoffersHParticipantNeighborKid, This game is meant to be played as it is set out to do from what I have seen so far. What you are asking for is something a lot more complex. If this is the kind of game/simulator you are wanting, then I suggest you buy Trainsimulator 13 or the latest version TS14 due out shortly.
This game is built on similar lines to CIM & CIM2, but with the emphasis on railways to connect between various towns on the huge map, which will grow as the game progresses. A bit different than CIM, where you provide transport links just within a large city area.
It might be called Train Fever, but it is not meant to be a train simulator. Trains are just meant to transport passengers and goods from place to place and from industry to the towns and factories
GeoffersHParticipantGreat videos. The sounds are brilliant and so lifelike. This is what I like in games, and these guys seemed to have captured it all. Has to be the best transport game so far.
GeoffersHParticipantIt’s too late now to expect a Beta. the dev team will be busy doing the final touches to the game before final release. You will just have to wait like everyone else. Anyway, the Beta was just intended for those who wanted to do the testing. This was limited to those that applied and were chosen.
GeoffersHParticipantBetter still would be a scenic background like in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
GeoffersHParticipantAgain, thanks for the info. Since watching your streaming in full screen, I can clearly see all the pop up boxes and what does what, when building new lines etc. I suppose once you get into it, it all becomes pretty easy to understand.
GeoffersHParticipantThank you Mansen for showing us your video’s. The best so far, when it comes to showing how the game developes. I notice that you have familiar town names, so I take it that you can name each town to what you like. Just one more question. Are the videos done in Sandbox mode or in the game mode as you seem to be spending lots of money to get all the lines operating.
Really looking forward to getting my pre-ordered game.
GeoffersHParticipantThank you all for your answers. I am glad that you have a choice of start periods, once you reach the 1900 and 1950 periods.
GeoffersHParticipantWhat Steve has suggested here makes sense, being an avid train simulator user, this is the best answer for creating more rail traffic, especially in the early stages of the game, when less goods will need transporting. This is how railways were developed in the beginning.
August 22, 2014 at 16:15 in reply to: Suggestion: Make industries more complex [German and English Text] #3345GeoffersHParticipantLet’s not be ambitious at this stage, the game has not been released yet. From little acorns, mighty oaks do grow. I am sure the small dev team would like to add more different types of industry and no doubt these will be incorporated in future updates. The main object at the moment is to get it published, so everyone can see what the best way forward might be to improve on the game. And if it can be improved by additional creations made by the community, then more industry and other developments could be built, like airports and docks, for instance.
GeoffersHParticipantI doubt whether these will be incorporated in the game, as it would require quite a lot of work for them to be implemented. I have noticed in one of the preview videos, that a truck crossing the railway, just missed by inches, an oncoming train. I suspect that in the finished version, these sort of near collisions will be addressed, so that vehicles will stop at crossing, to allow trains priority to pass, if both approaching at the crossing at the same time. A bit like vehicles stopping, when coming up behind another vehicle does.

GeoffersHParticipantI won’t repeat what I have suggested Steve, in another thread on this subject, but you already know where my interest lies, with British trains and vehicles. Regarding, new models for this game, how would they be distributed? Will they be available as downloaded add on’s or would they only be available as purchased add on packs.
If items can be added made by the community, where would they be available from, as this website probably won’t host such material for downloading.
GeoffersHParticipantWell I have pre-ordered but will have to wait an extra week before I can download it, as I will be away on holiday. But It is something to look forward to when I get back.
GeoffersHParticipantThank you olandahar, for the avatar info.
GeoffersHParticipantNice models Steve. So I am not the only old codger, enjoying transport type games. I am still a strong Microsoft Train Sim user, can’t get on with the latest Railworks and Train sim 13, so just stick to MSTS. I have done a few routes for MSTS, namely Blackpool Tramway Illuminations version and rebuild the old Scottish Central Route to Scottish Central Plus. I have hundreds of routes for this simulator, but when I saw Train Fever, I thought that it looked so good compared to earlier games of this type, that I definitely was going to order a copy, which I have done through Steam. Just waiting for the release date now.
Where do you come from Steve? I am from Tamworth in the Midlands.
