In addition, add a possibility to replace vehicles when passing 1 (or something low) percent of their life span. Would be a small but, for me, helpfull option.
nickos111ParticipantI dont care about anything but ————> fixing the insane freezes. Im in 1966 with several cities having 2500 residents and freezes are about 2 min now. Also the game itself is stuttering retardedly.
Its just unplayable.
nickos111ParticipantI havent really had serious trouble. But i also see that buses take the shorter route. Not the faster route…
Having less trouble with trams as they will follow ur tramrails anyway.
nickos111ParticipantI dont think its about how much trains or busses u have.
Its more about the more ppl there are in your map, the more routes the game needs to calculate. As u change bus/train routes, houses that are being build and residents moving to cities, these calculations become more complex with the month.
My pc has great specs, but still i get annoying freezes up to 30 seconds per month. Its a medium map with around 10.000 population in the year 1945. The freezes started at 1900 and are becoming worse every month. Probably because my population is fastly growing from 1890. At these speeds ill have 30.000 in 2000.
nickos111ParticipantZiet er goed uit 🙂

Even on the OTHER side of it (that people need to walk all around the station to get there).
This makes no sense as there are mostly numerous bus and tramlines going everywhere in the town. Building houses near those tram/bus lines would make much more sense as they need to travel shorter to any given destination on the map (even in the same town).
Ive played alot of games and still some things about city growth are not clear to me, or just do not make sense.
nickos111ParticipantMy game also gets frozen. I can load the game, then it runs for some seconds to a minute, then freezes. Im in 1910 now (ive played games that were going fine up to year 2010 and beyond).
Got windows 8.1 aswell. Nvidia GT 640.
nickos111ParticipantIts funny that i havent really read this anywhere. But cars/busses etc never wait for a railroadcross…
Why is this? They just drive through trains that pass.
nickos111ParticipantGame doesnt calculate personal commuters by car when theyre in a traffic jam. If it would, much more calculation (slower game) would be needed. Therefore, travveling by car will almost always be faster.
You can delete the road connection between the cities. I have done so to stop traffic jams. Im not sure of any other changes.
nickos111ParticipantWow… O_o
Well, thats gonna be a restart I guess…
nickos111ParticipantYeah but in the real world you buy a ticket before you board the train. You dont pay your trip when you finished it.
nickos111ParticipantAnnoying that a game doesnt work after you bought it.
You need to switch off your antivirus. Then try again. Only solution for now.
5. You cannot install Train Fever on Steam
This is most likely an anti-virus software problem. We experienced problems especially with McAfee and AVG anti-virus software. You need to disable the anti-virus software during installation. In some cases it’s also needed to disable the anti-virus software for starting the game.nickos111ParticipantYes but i dont think the game calculates waiting time like that.
nickos111ParticipantYes, so you have 2 lines doing that? I always use 1 line for that. I use big maps, if i use 2 lines, i would loose any overview. Let alone think about having to replace vehicles on those lines seperately hehe.
They move like A – B – C – D – E – F (trainstation, passenger hub) -G – H – I – J – K – L And then they turn around doing the same line but then in opposite.
If you put the lines in the right spots (homes to workplaces and leisure) i think most profit will be made due to high frequency rate.
And besides that, seeing people waiting at a bus stop for minutes because every bus that passes is full, is not really what im trying to achieve nor satisfactory.
nickos111ParticipantYou wanna build a trans-Siberian express?
Id love it!
