    @Lotus_79

We’ve fixed this once with a beta-tester, he followed this instruction:

alt+enter sets the game into window mode.

Or you can change the settings file in:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<number>\304730\local\settings.lua

We’re sorry about the small amount of news in the past weeks. The reason for this is simply that there is a lot of work here 😉 we need to finish development!

In exchange to the missing updates we just allowed the beta testers to show their impressions of Train Fever. That means there is no more NDA now and all testers can publish videos etc.

Some beta tester videos already explained a lot of the mechanics from Train Fever. You’re free to ask them any question, most likely they’re willing to answer you anything.

Please keep in mind that we’re a small team working on the game, and also keeping up with the community. The community means a lot to us and we want to thank all for supporting us.

After the convert there’s a game model file created, in the model file you have to define the specifications of the model, type, speed, costs and more. Bogies work as separate groups, in the model file you instance the group.

But more about this when we’re ready for the mod tools.

All you need to know now is that the bogie, wheel and everything about the train is in one obj file. After that the train is going to be configured in the model file. The center of each mesh is also needed for animation and positioning. This could change to make it simpler, but currently we’re working with this.

I’m happy to see the interest in modding for Train Fever. As we’ve told before, we’re working on the modding features after the release.

We’re using a converter to get an .obj + .mtl model into our game. A train is separated into different meshes which can be instanced several times.

So basically you can create your trains already and include them when the tools are ready. You’re going to need one .obj file for each lod (level of detail).  You could change the materials in every lod but it’s not necessary.

The animations are mostly done in our scripts. Wheels and bogies are working automatically, they just need to be separate meshes.

All participants that wrote to our beta e-mail address got a response mail. It could be possible that some of the mails are in your junk mail folder or got some misspelling in the address. If you checked your junk mail and still can’t find anything, you can write us again to get your confirmation.

Regarding the Facebook raffle, only those who have won the Facebook raffle got an email.

Of course we are aware of multicore CPUs. We’re using it for some tasks for example the simulation. Therefore a dual core CPU is in the system requirements. It runs on a single core CPU but not satisficing  enough.

Great wiki pages. Thank you for your support.

The simulation is going to change a little bit regarding the freight transport. We’re going to inform you when it’s more balanced.

Thank you for your interest in our game.

We’re trying to continue our at least monthly updates on our page. Currently we’re working on marketing materials and of course a lot of coding. A punch of new content, trains and vehicles are also already done and soon there will be more news.

A lot of questions are already answered in the updates or in our forums so please check them out. We’re still reading every comment and forum post to get your opinion on Train Fever. However, due to the huge amount of work we currently have to focus our man power: Top priority is finishing development and releasing a great game in Q3.
